De La Bahia in Stuart Florida a Place to Chill

De La Bahia is an active adult (55+) community located in Stuart, Florida. These condominiums for sale offer great living right on Stuarts beautiful intracoastal waterway. If you are looking for a second home or a place to retire this is an affordable community with lots to offer.

The De La Bahia Condo community is situated along the St Lucie river and not far from downtown Stuart. The development was constructed between 1972 and 1974 and features a Mediterranean architectural style. Buildings are concrete construction and offer a low maintenance living situation, as the grounds, buildings and roof are maintained by the condo association.

De La Bahia property owners not only have a great place to live, but a place to store a boat if you have one. There are over 200 boat slips in this yachting community and some of the condos are sold “with” a slip. However, for those units without slips, there are many for lease. The community keeps a calendar full of social activities for the owners and their guests to enjoy. Activities are posted in the clubhouse and on the communities website.  Residence can also enjoying the riverside pool where you can cool off and then head over to the community watering hole located in the clubhouse.  The clubhouse is a gathering place where many members spend time after boating.

Pricing varies from the mid $80’s to as high as $320,000 for wide water views. Both 1 and 2 Bedroom units are available for sale with square footage from 685 up to 1505.  The average price per foot is $138 as of 2018 and owners pay taxes as low as $998 on average. HOA fees vary by unit but average fees are about $267 monthly. This is an age restricted neighborhood, so you need to be 55 years of age to buy a condo. The common areas are beautiful, well maintained, and the atmosphere is lovely.
